Patient Care
IU Health University Hospital & Simon Cancer Center
Yoga therapy is a complementary therapy that empowers the patient to take an active role in the healing process. As a yoga therapist, I work alongside medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, social workers, and physical and occupational therapists to offer patients relief from the mental and physical suffering associated with cancer and treatment-related side effects. Yoga therapy sessions may be offered to patients and caregivers on inpatient and outpatient services and may include breathwork, meditation, and therapeutic movement.
